Silica sand is used for safety purposes in vehicles such as trains, trams, etc., in order to prevent icing and slipping incidents that may occur on railways.
Also known as abrasive sand, it is a coarsely washed silica sand that works efficiently to assist traction on roads covered with snow and ice.
