Quartz Filter sand is produced in accordance with TS EN 12904 standards after washing and screening from natural quartz sands and classified in desired sizes. Quartz sands used as quartz filter sands do not dissolve in acid experiments and do not lose mass.

Quartz Filter sands are mainly used in drinking water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, boiler filters and swimming pools. Quartz Filter sands must comply with TS EN 12904 standards. When quality and right products are selected, the quality of drinking water increases accordingly.

Quartz filter sands used in filters have a high wear resistance. For this reason, it offers long-term solutions in filtration.

Quartz Filtering Features:

There are fast and slow sand filter systems in drinking water treatment plants. Fast sand filters generally work with nozzle and backwash system in the range of 0,800-1,200 mm filter sand. In slow sand filters, bedding is done with 15-25 mm gravel and 5-15 mm gravel. 3-5 mm and 1-3 mm gravel are placed on it. On the top layer, filter sand is placed at a height of approximately 1 meter in the range of 0.300-0.500 mm. The flow rate of low filters is low in slow filters. Slow or fast sand filter choices are made according to the chemical structure and pollution rate of the water. Sometimes the upper layer filter sand dimensions can be in the range of 0.400-0.800 mm and 0.600-1.0 mm or in the specified alternative size range.

Quartz Filter Sand:
Sand filters are highly efficient units designed to remove insoluble, various-sized particles and suspended solids in the water. Therefore, the main unit that must be in a general treatment system is the sand filter.

Quartz Filtering:
Fully automatic sand filters have a structure consisting of different sizes of Quartz and anthracite layers in polyethylene or steel tanks. Thanks to this structure, the filtration is provided not only on the upper surface of the filter bed, but on all layers, making it more efficient.
